First Soccer Game

Today was Sarah's first soccer game....ever. She was very excited up until it came time to actually play the game. The other girls on her team, Molly, Brooke, Kelsey, Madison, Jenny and Kylie were seasoned veterans so fortunately the whole game didn't depend on Sarah. Coach Todd let her kick off a few times and she did a great job so we were very proud. Afterwards she told me she had been a little bit nervous but next time she felt like she could do a better job. Watching her out there, with the other girls, made my heart melt a little. I love being a mom but it's hard when it feels like they are growing up too fast. I love you Sarah and Ansley!!

Back to school

This year was Sarah's first year in a full day pre-k class. I was a bit hesitant in enrolling her because the hours are 8:00 - 2:30 and I felt like that was too long of a day for her. I think deep down I was the one who didn't want to let go because she's been going almost 4 weeks now and loves every single minute of it. Sarah's teacher's are Ms. Elizabeth and Ms.Vanita and she loves to come home and talk about what she did at school each day. At first Ansley had a hard time adjusting to Sarah being gone but now I've noticed she's come to enjoy the time alone with mom. She's started talking and interacting with me more and she's really starting to become very independent. We are enjoying our days together but we both look forward to picking Sarah up from school each day.
