Sarah's best trip ever (her words!)

Last week the girls and I took a trip to NC to visit Wendy and Gracen and we had the best time!! The girls were so excited to be there and it was really fun to see them all play so well together. We did lots of fun things but one of the highlights of our trip was that Gracen got a new pet hamster the day we arrived. 'Edie Treebranch' (Gracen name for the hamster) was the main attraction and it was quite the spectacle when 3 screaming girls alerted us that Edie had escaped one morning (fortunately we found her!) Between all the fun activities, the popcorn, the M&M's, Edie Treebranch, and Aunt Wendy's famous dessert basket we left with lots of good memories. We definitely had a fun filled weekend and we can't wait to all be together again!

Ansley's Birthday

Well, my baby has finally turned two! At times I wonder how time passed by so quickly. It seems like just recently she has turned the corner of big girl boulevard because she suddenly has become very independent...and very opinionated in certain areas. This year we had a low-key celebration for Ansley's birthday and fortunately Mima was able to be here with us. We started the day by going to the mall and letting her ride the carousel. She was so proud sitting up on her tiger and feeling like a big girl. Afterwards we came home and had cake and presents and she worked very hard at making sure she took every bit of paper off of each present. I also think she was excited to finally have her own toys to play with. Overall it was a wonderful celebration in honor of my baby......Ansley.

Our trip to the Atlanta Zoo

As a pre-birthday activity, Ansley and I took a trip to the Atlanta Zoo the other morning. The weather was finally begining to warm up and it was nice for me to just focus on her for a change. We got there when the zoo opened so the animals were very active and we had the best time. She loved the flamingos, lions, giraffes and zebras but her very favorites were the monkeys and the gorillas....or as she called them the Ga-lill-ahs.
