Family Beach Weekend 2009

We just got back from our family beach trip today and everyone had a great time. Why is it you seem more tired when you return home? Anyway, it's good to be back and I'm looking forward to sleeping in my bed tonight. We all had such a great time that we have decided to go back for one more weekend of fun before school starts!

Memories of Monster Plantation

This post is for my girls so that they can visit this page and see the pictures at any given time. Their very favorite ride at Six Flags is the Monster Plantation ride. As I posted this first picture I noticed they have changed the name to the Monster Mansion. They must have had to be politically correct with the name which is the only explanation I can come up with for the new name. Anyway, they just underwent a major renovation and it just recently reopened at Six Flags. For those of you who remember this ride from days past, take a stroll down memory lane!

Here is a video to take you back!

This post is dedicated to my awesome sister Ashley!!
Ashley just graduated from her 2 year SOMET class and we are all very proud of her. All that hard work and D-I-L-L-I-G-E-N-C-E has paid off and we are all very excited at what the future holds for her and the girls. Congrats Ashley!!

A special congratulations to Nancy too!!

A Six Flags kind of day

Today we spent the morning at Six Flags. Since we are season pass holders, and locals, we can reap the benefits of just dropping by the park for a couple of hours then leaving the rest of the masses to sweat it out all day long. I decided today would be a great morning to go since they had predicted it would be cloudy with a chance of thunderstorms and I figured it would be much cooler than normal...WRONG....it was H-O-T folks! The good part was that the threat of rain must have scared everyone off because we were able to walk right on just about every single ride we wanted to go on. We hit up the brand new Monster Plantation a few times and much to my surprise Ansley laughed the entire time. The rest of the morning was spent in the kiddie section and munching on our refillable popcorn and cotton candy (can't break tradition at .99 cents per refill!) I packed the kids a sandwich and some fruit and we were in and out of the park for a whopping $5 (2 refillable coke zero's, 2 bags of cotton candy, and 1 popcorn.) On our way out of the park we ran into Daffy Duck and he gave Sarah a Scooby-Doo stuffed animal. How did he know she was such a huge Scooby fan?? FAVOR!! :-) We had a wonderful morning and can't wait to go back one night with Adam.

Awwwwww, sister L-O-V-E

Thank goodness for those refillable popcorn/cotton candy buckets!

DAY 14......FINALLY!

Day 14 and we are finally-almost-officially well!! Sarah had EXTREME nerve pain in her mouth for about 10 of those days and I am excited to say that she has had NO PAIN today whatsoever and has officially gotten her appetite back. In the past 45 minutes she has downed another hotdog (we are on #3 for the day), another PB&J (2nd of the day), a bowl full of blueberries and a bowl of Frosted Flakes. I swear she tells me every 30 minutes that she is S-T-A-R-V-I-N-G and goes into meltdown mode if she can't get food quick enough. The number one sign though that all is back to normal is when Princess Sarah Aurora graced us with her presence this afternoon. Never have I been so excited to have her back!
