First time Gymnast
This weekend the girls were invited to a birthday party with a gymnastics theme. Everyone had such a great time. Sarah's favorite thing was the trampoline and the balance beam obstacle course. She took her role as a "gymnast" very seriously that day! Ansley had a blast too. She mainly ran around climbing and rolling all over everything and the best part was that I didn't have to impose too many restrictions on her. A great time was had by all!!

Mystery Snack
Can anyone guess the snack Ansley just ate? No, it wasn't spaghetti. I will give you a hint...it's a seasonal snack and one that is usually saved for dessert. Happy guessing!!

Petting Zoo
Today at Sarah's school they had a petting zoo. Parents and siblings were invited to attend and the girls had a blast petting all of the animals. There was a sheep (baa-baa), a cow (moo-moo), a pig (oink-oink), a pony (nay-nay), a chicken and rooster (cluck-cluck and cock-a-doodle do), an alpaca (?-?), and a bunny (nibble-nibble.) Ansley was most impressed with the bunny. She has a pink bunny blanket pal she sleeps with so she kept screaming "Bun-Bun!" That was indeed her favorite!!

Moving
Well, after two long weeks we are finally in the new house and starting to get settled in. This house has a small backyard and the girls are already enjoying playing outside each day. We've made some new friends....a spider in particular. Each day Sarah enjoys walking out on the back porch and observing what he is doing. She's learning about leaves at school so sometimes we go outside and look at all the different types of leaves. She explained to me the other day that the chlorophyll causes them to turn from green to yellow to brown and that the leaves provide food for the tree (quite impressive!!) Since moving, Ansley has learned how to navigate the stairs quite well. The other day she spent one hour walking up and down the stairs and each time I would clap she would get this huge grin on her face. She's getting so independent!! Also in this house the girls are sharing a room. They seem to enjoy playing together in their room quite a bit which has been nice. Sometimes I like to just sit and watch them together. It reminds me of how blessed I am that they have each other and that I get to be their mom. I love you girls!!

First Soccer Game
Today was Sarah's first soccer game....ever. She was very excited up until it came time to actually play the game. The other girls on her team, Molly, Brooke, Kelsey, Madison, Jenny and Kylie were seasoned veterans so fortunately the whole game didn't depend on Sarah. Coach Todd let her kick off a few times and she did a great job so we were very proud. Afterwards she told me she had been a little bit nervous but next time she felt like she could do a better job. Watching her out there, with the other girls, made my heart melt a little. I love being a mom but it's hard when it feels like they are growing up too fast. I love you Sarah and Ansley!!
